Variabl ("the Service," "we," "us," or "our") acts as the data controller for the purposes of applicable data protection laws. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect through the Variabl desktop player application and web-based management dashboard, how it is used, and the choices you have regarding your information.

1. Information We Collect

A. Account Information

When you sign up for an account, we collect your name, email address, and a unique user ID. Authentication is handled via Firebase Authentication, which may include Google Sign-In or other supported sign-in methods. We store this information to:

• Identify your account
• Secure access to your dashboard and connected screens
• Manage your subscription and billing status

If you register using a corporate or company email address, we and our affiliated companies (such as Tab Revolver) may use your company's name and logo for marketing and promotional purposes, as outlined in our Terms and Conditions.

B. User Content (Playlists & Screen Configuration)

When you create playlists, we collect and store:

• Playlist names
• The URLs and applications you add to a playlist (e.g., dashboards, business apps, or websites)
• Rotation intervals, transition settings, and scheduling configuration

This data is stored securely in our cloud infrastructure (Firebase) so it can sync to your registered player devices and be managed from the dashboard.

C. Player Device Information

To provide remote screen management, each device running the Variabl player is assigned a unique device identifier. We collect:

• Device/screen name and pairing status
• Online/offline (heartbeat) status
• Which playlist is currently assigned to a given device
• App version and operating system of the device running the player

This information is used solely to let you monitor and manage your screens from the dashboard.

D. Anonymous Usage Analytics

We use analytics tooling to understand how the Service is used and to improve performance and stability. Data collected includes:

• Feature usage events (e.g., playlist created, rotation started, screen paired)
• Error and crash events
• App version and operating system

We do not collect the visual contents rendered on a screen, form data, or passwords through analytics. Analytics data is aggregated and pseudonymous and is not used to directly identify you as an individual.

E. Playlist Content Analysis

We may analyze the URLs and applications added to playlists in aggregate — without reference to your individual account — to understand which third-party tools and platforms our users most commonly display, and to prioritize which integrations to build or improve. F. Payment Information

Subscription payments are processed by a third-party payment processor. We do not directly store your full payment card number. We retain records of your subscription plan, billing status, and transaction history as needed to manage your account.

• Contractual necessity – to provide your account, playlist sync, screen management, and to process your subscription payment
• User consent – where applicable (e.g., analytics)

We use collected information to:

• Provide the Service — enable playlist management, screen pairing, and remote content scheduling
• Manage billing — process and maintain records of your subscription
• Improve the Service — analyze aggregated usage and playlist data to fix bugs, improve performance, and prioritize new integrations
• Support communication — respond to inquiries or support requests if you contact us directly (we do not use your email for marketing without explicit consent)
• Marketing and publicity — if you register with a company email address, we and our affiliated companies may use your company's name and logo to identify your company as a customer on our websites and in promotional materials

4. Data Storage and Security

• Cloud Infrastructure: Account data, playlists, and device information are stored on Firebase/Google Cloud infrastructure using industry-standard security measures, including encryption in transit and at rest.
• Payment Data: Handled entirely by our third-party payment processor; we do not store full card details on our own systems.
• Local Storage: Some preferences are stored locally on the device running the Variabl player.
• Secure Communication: All communication between the player application, dashboard, and our cloud services occurs over secure HTTPS connections.

5. Data Retention

• Account & Cloud Data: Retained for as long as your account is active or until you request deletion.
• Payment Records: Retained as required for billing, accounting, and legal/tax obligations.
• Analytics Data: Retained according to our analytics provider's standard retention policies.

6. Data Sharing & Disclosure

• No Data Selling: We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data.

The Service is not intended for children under the minimum age required by applicable data protection laws. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
